The edition, which has been sold out for a while, promises to enrich our thoughts on many subjects : equity, diversity and inclusion, visions of the future and boldness, revitalization of city centers, artificial intelligence and decarbonization, in addition to a multitude of visits to buildings that are exemplary in many respects. In short, lots to see, hear and discuss, and we will be sure to return to these topics in the months to come. I hope I will have the pleasure of meeting you there.
Here in Quebec, the BOMA team and committees work in exactly the same spirit: sharing valuable knowledge through activities designed to inspire us in our practices and make us better at what we do.
Here are some examples to put on your calendars in the coming weeks:

October 24 - Energy Challenge Rendez-vous
Across the country, buildings are striving to reduce their energy consumption, their GHG emissions and to advance their decarbonization process. On October 24, it will already be time to highlight the excellent work of local real estate leaders during the Energy Challenge Rendez-vous which will take place at the Atrium des Grands Ballets in Montreal, starting at 2:30 p.m.
The event will take place in two moments. First, participants are invited from 2:30 p.m. to the Innovation and carbon neutrality conferences. This meeting, which is in its 2nd edition, aims to present innovative solutions to managers committed to reducing their GHG emissions to support them in this process. Several companies were selected to present their innovations as part of the event, including Ambioner, SUNBIRD Energie, ECOTIME and gbi.
The day will then culminate with a networking cocktail and the presentation of recognition prizes to the winners of year 1 of the Building Energy Challenge 2.0. Already one year since the launch of BEC 2.0. Join us to encourage your industry colleagues who are still in the race!
To learn more about DEI 2.0, go to www.buildingenergyechallenge.ca. Besides, there is still time to register to participate in year 2, so go for it!
I wish you a wonderful professional autumn. Keep an eye on the BOMA Québec events calendar and subscribe to our newsletter so you don't miss anything.
