The end of the year is an opportunity to look back on work done during the year, and 2018 provides several reasons to be proud of our accomplishments. One of them is without doubt the launch of the new Building Energy Challenge in May. Over 40 buildings have registered so far, and participation is rising. The deadline for registering and sharing energy consumption data for the first year of the challenge is February 28, 2019.
The first awards night will be held on April 25 at the Phi Centre as part of the next BOMA Quebec Energy Symposium. Note the date in your agenda and join us in congratulating our valiant participants.
A New Season Underway
I also invite you to regularly visit the Events section of the BOMA Quebec website for info on our upcoming activities. May 9 is another important date, for that is the night of the BOMA Awards Gala at the Montreal Casino. It will be hosted by honorary president Pascale Roy, vice-president, Asset Management, at GWL Realty Advisors. Sign up quickly for events that interest you, as some activities are very popular.
This year's BOMA Quebec Christmas lunch took place on December 19 and was once again a huge success, with more that 725 guests at Gare Windsor toasting in the New Year.
We are always pleased to see so many of our members attending this celebratory event. It reflects a professional camaraderie and group spirit, and I thank you for attending. We hope you enjoyed the party. Thank you to all the sponsors who contributed to the success of this event! We present them here below.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members and friends of BOMA Quebec as well as our extraordinary partners, who proved so instrumental in helping us reach our goals.
I wish you all a wonderful holiday period with your loved ones, and look forward to seeing you in 2019!
Happy Holidays!
Bruno Turcotte, President
