Fuelling Natural Gas Emergency Generators
July 2016 - The Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) has provided details about natural gas emergency generators in buildings under its jurisdiction. More specifically, the RBQ outlines:
- The minimum conditions to be respected when an emergency generator is fuelled by a natural gas distributor that provides public services, so that the process is deemed reliable and thus does not require an on-site standby natural gas tank; and
- additional conditions of compliance.
Consult the RBQ's Alimentation des génératrices de secours de bâtiments au gaz naturel page online for more details.
Automatic flush urinals. Water usage regulation in force throughout Montreal Island and applicable to industries, businesses and institutions
It is forbidden to install automatic flush urinals in businesses, industries and institutions. Non-conforming urinals must be replaced by January 1, 2018 with urinals that meet the requirements, e.g. manual flush, movement sensors, etc.
