With the summer late in getting underway, many cycling events in Quebec have been cancelled. Nonetheless, BOMA Quebec decided to go ahead on June 12 with its traditional cycling tour.
And what a good decision that was! A record turnout of 70 cyclists and the first sunny day for this event in the past 4 years! Hats off to the resilience of these brave participants who were forced to carry their bikes over a short distance because of a flood that occurred a few days before the event. Bravo to these BOMA champions!
The golf tournaments of Montreal and Quebec are fast approaching! Have you reserved your seats? You don't play golf? No problem! It is possible to register for dinner only, including access to the networking cocktail in both cases. Looking forward to see you there!
We are pleased to announce that Madeleine Jane Brammer Lavoie has been named the new president of the Next Generation Committee, and Shona Tep is the new president of the Christmas & Social Activities Committee.
We are thrilled to have you on board, and we thank you for your active involvement in BOMA activities!

On April 23, 2019 changes have been made to the BOMA BEST questionnaires. Every building verified after this date is expected to meet the new requirements if seeking points on these questions.
Most doors in a building or complex also serve as emergency exits for evacuating floor areas, including access doors to small server rooms. While a server room is vacant and unoccupied most of the time, its access door becomes an emergency exit door once the premises are occupied.
A door that is also a means of escape should always be easy to open. It must not require keys, special devices or specialized knowledge of the door opening mechanism.
