The largest mass transit project in Quebec since the Montreal subway 50 years ago, the REM demonstrates that mass transit and economic and urban development are inextricably linked. In addition to transforming citizens' mobility, the REM has acted since its launch as a catalyst for economic and urban development in Greater Montreal.

The presentation will look at the impact of REM on real estate development near stations, and the innovative mechanisms used to ensure that TOD areas contribute to the financing and therefore the feasibility of major infrastructure projects.

Guest speaker: Yann Tisserand - Vice-president - Transactions and Investments - Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ)
