The Real Estate Energy Challenge 2.0 will hold a collaborative event for real estate sustainability leaders. Is there a connection between environmental certifications, the Real Estate Challenge program and building decarbonization? This event will seek to answer this question while introducing the new version of BOMA BEST 4.0, the new edition of the DEI 2.0, and the concrete foundations of a decarbonization approach for buildings. The event is specifically aimed at sustainability and ESG experts from various property management companies. To this effect, various presentations will take place to give rise to lively discussions.
Presentation - BOMA BEST 4.0 and its novelties (we commit ourselves, we apply the best practices).
This presentation will explain the new features and challenges of the new BOMA BEST 4.0 version. A local auditor of the certification will come to share on the field realities and on the way of working in an objective of decarbonization of the buildings.

Presentation - Real Estate Energy Challenge 2.0 (measuring yourself, the foundation of sound energy management)
Presented by the director of the program, we will see the novelties of the second edition of the competition and how they are relevant in the continuity of our environmental commitments towards decarbonization. Mario Poirier is an engineer by training and a graduate of the University of Sherbrooke. He has spent his entire career in the real estate sector. He has operated or managed large buildings such as the Palais des Congrès, Place Bonaventure, 1350-1360 René Lévesque and has been employed by large real estate firms such as GWLRA, Canderel, Métivier-Grassi, Westcliff-PBI. His accomplishments and his involvement in the real estate sector position him as a well-known reference in the field. Among other things, he has sat on the Board of Directors of the RBQ and was a member of BOMA Quebec for over 20 years.
