With over 30 million visitors a year, Montreal's Eaton Centre is the busiest shopping mall in Quebec. It is located on St. Catherine Street, one of North America's most well-known commercial streets.
The $200M overhaul will offer rental space and a top-notch retail environment that reflects new consumer trends, creating a dynamic customer experience. The newly renovated centre features a Time Out Market gourmet food hall, the French sports retailer Decathlon and the flagship store of the Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo. The renovation will be carried out over a 3½ year period and will help redefine and enhance the urban shopping experience downtown. In addition to its strategic location and dominant position in downtown Montreal, the Eaton Centre will benefit from a newly renovated St. Catherine Street, the future McGill light rail train station and the upcoming transformation of McGill College Avenue.
An initial delivery phase will take place this autumn. The presentation will cover:
- The context and genesis of the project
- Transformational aspects and the customer experience
- The challenges of this redevelopment project
