As the summer season gently settles in, I'm delighted to take a moment to review the past few months and share with you some exciting prospects that lie ahead.
The winter and spring were marked by structural measures initiated by our teams, committees and volunteers.Together, we pursued projects designed to strengthen our network, enhance what we have to offer and improve support for our members as regards the challenges facing the industry. Thank you all for your ongoing commitment.
During the first half of the year BOMA Quebec implemented important organizational transitions, marking a major strategic shift. The arrival of Tina Sebti as general manager, Ninon Beaunoyer’s retirement as assistant general manager and the appointment of new members to the board of directors allowed us to redefine our internaldynamic and to embark on a new cycle of growth.
As part of this rejuvenating momentum, our teams and partners have been working on a major structural measure, i.e. developing a brand-new website platform. Conceived as a pillar of our repositioning, this more intuitive, modern interface, fully aligned with our ambitions, aptly reflects the strategic role of BOMA Quebec in the industry, and also extends our scope and impact.
This new tool offers improved access to information as well as simplified navigation, and serves as the basis for many future developments. Once officially launched, we invite you to take full ownership of this digital environment, which we will continue to improve thanks to your feedback and suggestions.
In this spirit of dynamic change, on June 12 and 17 the Board of Directors, the committee presidents and our full-time staff got together for our annual strategic planning session. This exercise involved collaborative co-design workshops aimed at questioning our business model and upgrading and promoting the services we offer. This is a key step to ensure that BOMA Quebec is aligned with what the market really needs. It is an opportunity to collectively define our short and medium-term priorities.
These new features and strategic projects reflect our ongoing desire to innovate, adapt and offer to the commercial real estate community an ever more dynamic, connected and forward-looking approach.
Summer is a time for relaxation, spontaneous exchanges and taking a step back. With that in mind, I wish you all a relaxing, stimulating summer season punctuated not only by moments of well-deserved rest, but also interesting opportunities for collaboration and collective impact and influence.
I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.
Christopher Arnaoutelis
President, BOMA Quebec
