Mission
BOMA Quebec's mission is to train, inform and represent building owners and administrators and to encourage efficient building management.
A bit of history
Initially known as the National Association of Building Owners
and Managers, BOMA International was founded in 1907. The Association
took on the name BOMA International in 1968 in order to expand its
scope, reaching out to include Canada and participants from all
over the world.
BOMA International now includes 84 American, 10 Canadian and 9
overseas associations (i.e. Australia, Brazil, Finland, Great Britain,
Japan, Indonesia, Korea, The philippines, and South Africa). The
BOMA head office is in Washington, D.C.
In North America the various BOMA chapters represent roughly 16,000
members who manage approximately 6 billion square feet.
BOMA Quebec
The "Montreal Association of Building Owners and Managers" was founded
in 1927 and officially constituted on June 16, 1931. Now known as
BOMA Quebec, its concern is the public interest. The Association's
members represent the largest commercial real estate properties
in Quebec.
In Quebec, BOMA represents some 350 members who manage more than
50 million square feet – the most important commercial real
estate investment.
